Angel Eyes

Hey guys
as some of u know i own a 1986 325e. I am highly interested in purchasing 7000k CCFL angel eyes for the front 4 round lights. I currently have the original light covers/lenses. They are kinda foggy/blurry but thats how they are from the factory. They arnt 100% clear only on some parts. Do i have to replace these to get the glow thru and make it a perfect line around the circle or will the lights penatrate thru and show a decent glow. Ive also heard about problems they can cause for example warning lights and taletell lights showing on the dashboard. Is this true?. And is it also possible to have a switch in the car to switch them on and off at any given time or do they have to be on when the lights are one?

help would be apprechiated

Michael
