I have always hated little mini compact cars like the Honda Civic Si and the older Gulfs. However, this is very nice. Volkswagen is turning into a very respectable company.

Well. Mk5 is coming out next year. (from what I heard). And the headlights should be much different.

Without any doubt... Altough the tuned Oettinger Golf GTI looks pretty damn good too...

But that isn't a golf. :) The R32 isn't a GTI. You could still tune this R32 just like the oettinger one though...

The R32 is a 6-speed 3.4l V6... 241HP... I would pick the R32 :) . But you're right, the R32 is no GTI.

Yes, they have added a lot of extra 'stuff', 220 lb. worth of stuff :)

well what i meant is how much of that weight is from the engine and AWD tranny and how much is from unnecessary STUFF

I heard that the mk5 is going to share the same chasis with the jetta or the passat one or the other

The mk5 Golf will be based on Volkswagen's a5 platform, on witch the new Audi A3 and the Volkswagen Touran is built on.
The mk5 Jetta will be based on the same platform, and the new passat will be based on a lengthened version of the same platform, and not on the new Audi A4's b6 platform.

F360m you got it right dude, thats 1 awesome motor!! My freind has 1 of the original motorsport 16v g60 engines in his mk1 golf. Well actually he sold it last week(the engine). The Limited is 1 rare motor, ive only seen 2 in my life.

As for theR32, there were loadz at inters this year and I personally dont think they are quick or powerful enough. Look nice in standard form though.
