Question for EVO IX or VIII Owners

Is there a button in either the evo 8 or 9 that you can press to change it from AWD to 2wd????????????

At the time, McLaren was racing successfully with Honda engines, and it seemed logical to approach Honda for an engine meeting Murray's requirements. But the Japanese declined, feeling that they could not spare the capacity to develop such a project.

IIRC there is a switch that you can activaly change the lsd in the tcase but I think the max is 90/10 or vice versa. I know that you cant make it strictly fwd or rwd though

thanks, im currently in a debate with someone who supossedly owns an evo and i've never heard of a button that can make it strictly 2wd like he claims.... thanks for the help

the 05 has ACD that you can change the power ratio to the wheels for varying road conditions. There are 3 settings that shift power depending on road slickness that there is button for to the left of the stearing wheel.

The % power shift is available for lookup on the net.. I dont remember it.

-sold- 95 Eclipse GSX. Rebuilt 6 bolt with 9:1 JE .020 pistons. Evo III Big 16g, Evo III exhaust manifold and Evo III o2 housing all ported. Full Apexi N1 exhaust. K&N intake, 1g bov. 660cc inkectors, walbro 255lph fuel pump, aeromotive FPR. NGK 6 plugs and wires. ACT 2600 clutch with a hurst short shifter. badly tuned Apexi S-AFC II and a apexi TT. MBC. KYB 5 way adjustable's. Daily driver running on 20psi. Ran 12.7 in the quarter;with a FMIC and DSMlink.. who knows?

the only way to make an evo 2wd is to take the rear driveshaft out. The Active center differential (ACD) in the later 8s and all 9s doesn't actually change the power bias.
