I have a '98 Lumina, and want to know if there are any tips to improving throttle response and performance. e.g., my Fox Mustang provides the ability to adjust the TPS and advance the timing, which provide some excellent results. The engine in the car is a 3.1L with an automatic tranny.
3.1 V-6's don't take well to mods. Other than a cold air intake and freeing up the exhaust, there isn't much you can do. They may make a reprogrammed PCM, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for the response, not really looking to add "hop-up" parts. As I mentioned in my original post, can you adjust the TPS and advance timing on these engines to improve performance and mileage? Thanks!
No, the TPS is non-adjustable, and the timing is controlled by the ECM. These cars are distributorless, so therefore, no timing adjustment (short of a reprogrammed ECM) is possible.
