94 s-10 4.3 "W" starts, runs, then dies

A couple of weeks ago, blazer died on road, restarted it and came back home. Trying to change out filter in tank, damaged sending unit, replaced it, the FPR, the filter in tank. Charged up the system, started the engine and it ran long enough to run the fuel system out of gas (I presume), then it died. Charged it again and it did the same thing. Haynes manual says that if I disconnect fuel pump relay and it dies, it is the oil pressure switch.

Any ideas?
