95 boggs down on acceleration

ok heres my situation...i have a 95 astro with a 4.3 (theres not that many astro posts so since its the same setup i thought id try here) my problem is a rough idle and it boggs down on acceleration...it lacks serious power. ive replaced so far
fuel pump and strainer and filter
ignition module
ignition coil
plugs/cap/rotor and wires
air filter
also cleaned the egr valve
the fuel pressure is higher now with the new pump...so i dont feel replacing the pump was a waste of time. however it still runs like a 77 dodge with a zillion miles on it.
what should i look at next?

Re: 95 boggs down on acceleration

Check base engine timing.
Make sure that your CPI is working properly. (Fuel pressure leak-down test)
Perform a complete engine compression test on all cylinders and a leak-down test there too. (All cylinders should be within 10% of one another to be considered healthy)
If the CPI passes leakdown testing and you know you have no mis-fires, try running an SUV sized bottle of Techron through the fuel tank, you may just have dirty injectors, ring faces and valve seats.

Re: 95 boggs down on acceleration

Sounds like a clogged catalytic converter.
