Okay, So im pulling out the reciever tomorrow, and i did a check on it today to see what it would consist of. It doesn't look too bad, but the antenna lead (single thick black wire) on the right side of the reciever looks awkward to disconnect, can i just pull it out or will i break it?

I pulled mine out np. Didn't bother buying antenna adapter, just used original, and plugged it (with piece of wood and good hammer) tight to new stereo.

Full install here with pics. Did mine NP.Make sure you buy both harness', makes wiring soo easy.
