I am having the same problem with my Venture. the window on the pass. side went down with either switch. It will not go up. There is power to the motor and the motor in the pass. door clicks when the down buttons are depressed. however there is nothing when "up" is depressed. I would appreciate any help. Does anyone know how to put the window up MANUALLY??? I just want to get it closed until I can get it fixed. it is freezing out there!!!

Re: passenger side window problem

window goes down with either switch.
i was told by someone else that they think it's the relay.
i'm going to try and take it apart today and see what it looks like.
the only way we got ours to go up was pray, smacked it a few times, prayed some more.....and it went up.

Re: passenger side window problem

I was reading threads and I think it was way back near the first posts, but I saw pictures of the inside of the door and what do do about window problem.
I have some errands to run but later this afternoon will see if I can find it for you.

My 2K Venture passenger window gets about half way down and slows down to half speed for about two seconds then speeds up and goes on down. Goes up normal.

Here's one: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=215727

Re: passenger side window problem

I had the same problem with my 2000 Silhouette (except I could raise the window back up with the driver switch). When I tested the passenger switch I found it to be defective. I think this is another common problem. You definitely should test the switch as I seem to remember the switch was about $90 CDN at the dealer. Someone on this forum supplied me with a wiring schematic. If you need it I can try to find it.

Good luck,
Mark

If you need the operational description and schematic, you can find it here.
