Unhappy I replaced the ATF on my transmission, and now it's stuck on D/drive

I replaced the ATF on my transmission, and now it's stuck on D/drive. I cannot get it to shift back to neutral, reverse, or park. What can I do. My car is a 1993 325I.

Grab a beer. What you mean its stuck? Your shifter wont shift or its stuck in a gear all the time no mattre what possition the shifter is in? If its the first see where its stuck, just the shifter or its some sorta internal binding. I beleive it has a cable for shifting. Correct me if iam wrong. If its the second-check for fluid level and see if anyone messed with it trying to rebuild or whatever. (if you did everything correct than you just got ripped off)

Arrow

I got the beer....well a 12pack. My shifter won't shift to neutral, reverse and park, and i got it to shift twice before trying to drive it. I can still shift to 3rd, 2nd, and 1st. I've had the car for two years now, and i don't know if i got ripped off or not (good question).
