Question removal of shift knob

Hello, I am trying to replace the heater core in my daughters 95 grand am. I have done this on my own 93 grand am twice before. The problem i am having is mine is a manual trans while hers is an automatic trans. To remove the center counsol I CAN NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO REMOVE THE SHIFT KNOB. Is there anywhere on the net to find this information? Or is it so damn simple some one can guide me to as how to figure out the removal? Thanks
