Exclamation Oil Leak...

I have a 1993 3.4 liter DOHC automatic trans, and the car model is Grand prix SE. I have a oil leak and i was wondering if any else has come across this.
I would like some information on this problem before i start disassembling the engine. I have heard many guesses on what the problem could be, but I'm still not sure. The car seems to leak more oil when i let the car drive in higher RPM ranges. I will be thankful for any help on this, thanks.

Re: Oil Leak...

Welcome to AF! Do you know where the oil is coming from since it would be a benefit to know in order to help you with the issue.

"Guestamate" on oil leak Location

The oil leak so far from what i can tell seems to be coming from the rear of the engine (between engine and firewall) (and the car is front wheel drive). I still can't find the specific area of the leak until i break down the engine, it's pretty tight in there.

Re: Oil Leak...

A common culprit on these engines is the o-ring on the oil pump drive shaft housing (it's basically a distributor with the top cut off). It's located in the center of the "V" on the drivers side under the throttle body.
