need posi rear carrier

i have a 77 nova that im swapping from 6 cyl to 8 cyl in the spring and im trying to collect all my parts. im looking for a posi carrier for a 8.5 rear, or if you have the whole rear together i havent bought one yet but i know where one is but its not a posi. and need to find out if the th350 needs to be long or short tailshaft to fit under the car with the 8.5 rear, to fit the 8.5 rear driveshaft. and to say i havent bought anything yet motor, trans, rear, waiting till after spring carlisle or till a good deal comes along. so if you have one of these please write back and see if we can work out a deal.

thank you for any help,
Ben

Your automatic should be a short tail. The overall length from bellhousing to tail housing is like 29.5" The longer turbos were made for station wagons mainly, so the difference will be obvious.

Is your Nova by any chance a stick that is being converted to an automatic? If so, someone on this forum is going the other way and maybe you guys could work out a deal.
