2002 Grand Prix SE icm

Hi I am putting a remote start/ car alarm on my girlfriend's GP. I have to find and accessible tach wire. Where is the icm located on the vehicle? I believe the tach wire is purple/white. Thanks in advance

Re: 2002 Grand Prix SE icm

Which engine 3.1 or 3800. Either engine has a DIS ignition system with the ICM being located directly under the 3 ignition coils. You will not need to remove the ICM to access the tach signal. On one side of the DIS will be two electrical connectors for 3.1 and one big connector for 3800. The wire you are looking for should be located on one of the electrical plugs. Good luck!
