I have a 2000 venture with power windows. The driver side window is not working properly. When I try to roll it up the window starts to "twist" and it gets stuck. I have to slowly roll it up and hold the window straight until it closes. Makes drive throughs very annoying. I figure the window support has come loose or broken and I will need to get into the door to fix it. Any suggestions on what the problem might be and how to safely remove the door panel. Please help. Thank you.

I have a little information on this page.

The hardest part of removing the panel is finding the bolt that is under the door switches and removing the plastic cover BEHIND the door handle.

To get to the bolt, you have to pry up the switches from the arm rest.

To remove the plastic cover behind the door handle, you have to carefully pry it loose. Put a small flat bladed screwdriver into the front edge of the cover and work it around. It should come loose.

Once the bolts are out, use a trim tool ($5 at a parts store) around the edges of the panel to loosen the retainer pins. There a bunch of them.

To: Teege 79: If you still have problems with the window closing on your 2000 this is the same slow/cocked downward window that I had w/my '97. I know this may sound crazy as a solution, but you will find that it worked for a number of others in AF. Try spraying silicone spray in the felt-like vertical tracks the front and rear of your window travels in. I mean soak em. Cycle the window a few times, then wipe off excess on inside and outside on window edges while it is in the up position. May be your root cause. Let us know....
