1996 monte carlo- headlight problem.russe203 01-04-2006, 08:24 AM My headlights seem really dim. I was wondering if their is a way to adjust them( I was thinking they might be pointing towards ground) because both lights still work. I have an Intrepid and they have a little bubble level and a screw to easily adjust but i can not find anything like that on the monte carlo. There are two adjusters on each headlight capsule - they are Torx-shaped. One controls the side-to-side and one the up-and-down. A small 12-point socket (not sure what size, but extremely small) will work on them. You should first spray generous amounts of WD-40 or a similar penetrating lube on the threads as they are usually rusty. Aim them on your garage door from a distance for proper height and straightness. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
