99 GA runs rough at stoplight

Sometimes when I stop at a stoplight, my car starts to run really rough and stalls on occasion. If I catch it as soon as it starts to happen and put it in neutral it doesn't stall. What would be causing this?

Re: 99 GA runs rough at stoplight

is this just at traffic lights, or stop signs too? !
So whats the engine size?
the idle air control valve could be sticking. A vacum leak, cloged fuel filter to name just a few things that it could be.

It doesn't always happen. I was replacing the map sensor tonight, and noticed there was a hole in the vacuum line, so I replaced that too. It's the 2.4L and I replaced the fuel filter a couple months ago.
