Key Fob Programmingchobes 01-03-2006, 09:20 AM Can anyone help with programming a key fob. Purchased a 2000 Cherokee sport that has keyless entry but no Key fob. I have a new key fob for the vehicle now and need to program the vehicle to recognize the new fob. Anyone know how to do this??? I know that it can be done on a GM, but can it be done on a Jeep? Thanks, Chobes oljeeptek 01-04-2006, 12:01 AM Have you tried simultaneously pressing and holding the "lock" and "unlock" buttons on the FOB for 15 seconds? tch1717 01-07-2006, 04:27 PM Can anyone help with programming a key fob. Just make sure that when they program the remote at the dealership, which is the only way to do it on newer jeeps, that they look up under their program thingamajig, they instead of looking up under keys or entry, they need to look under alarm system or something very similiar to that, or they will not be able to program it. chobes 01-09-2006, 10:11 PM Thanks sklater. I will check into that. chobes Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
