I am going to install an aftermarket head unit for a friend in a 2004 dodge ram pickup. Does any one have experience with this? Do i just have to take the small center panel out, and how do i go about doing that?

If its the same as my 03 there is a screw by the little hook on the right side. Take that out, open the ashtray and cupholders. Then pull the panel off, might have to pull kinda hard but dont worry about it. After you get that off its just 4 screws on the cd player itself and its out.

Its actually really simple.

did this work for you? i am also looking to remove the factory radio to install an Fm modulator into the antenna input

Of course it worked, it takes less than 10 minutes to get everything out. Just follow my instructions.
