Re: 99 Blazer lots of problems, now it wont start. I have had enough of this truck!
The constant clicking of the turn signal relay, is most commonly caused by the multifunction switch (Wiper/turn signal). If this is the cause it requires replacement of the switch. Ocassionally the problem is caused by a weak relay, and can be fixed by simply replacing the relay.
The loud humming could also be something as simple as a bad tire. The typical signs of a bad wheel bearing is a load growl accompanied by a vibration that gets worse while turning in one direction and disappears while turning in the other. If the wheel bearing is the cause of your humming, the symptoms going away while turning left, indicate that it is the one on the driver side.
The dome light problem is most likely a bad door switch.
As for the no start, most no/hard starts are caused by fuel pressure problems. Before replacing anything, you should check your fuel pressure. The pressure should be:
Key On Engine OFF (during the intial 2 seconds when the fuel pump is running - 60 - 66 psi
Key On Engine OFF (After the fuel pump shuts off) - 55 - 60 psi (This number is to determine the integrity of the system. It should hold that pressure and not bleed down. If the pressure bleeds down it means that there is a leak in the system.)
Key On Engine running it should drop 3 - 10 psi
The pump should pump a volume of about 1 ounce per second.
