supra turbo V.S 95 t/a

I have a 87 toyota supra turbo. It has the 3.0 dohc single turbo. It is a 5 speed and has about 270hp, i am going to put a aftermarket intercooler, bov, and waste gate. So i will probly be at 300hp. My step brother has a 95 t/a with the lt1, it has a shift kit and cold air intake. He wants to race, who do you think will win? I think i have him. My car also have the a/c taken out, the back seats are out and all the stuff in the trunk is out so it is a little lighter. Who do you guys think will win?

HP dont mean shit if either of you cant drive. Is he a good driver, are you a good driver, do any of you have track experiance at all.... If both are equally talented, and i were to bet, id put my money down for you. Wait for Mr Luos. He should be able to tell ya.

What length are you guys racing?. Light to light ?. I think he may have you in the begining (depending on what gears his car has). Sounds like a good race though. Good luck

To much can happen when racing...A lot of variables. If everything goes right for both of you, he'll get you on the launch but you'll catch up to him.

What altitude are you at?

hmm the only problem i see is that your engine is actually not going to even be 270 hp unless you got it recently rebuilt.. a 18 year old car has a LOT of wear and tear on the engine.. i think you will be lucky with 250. the thing you got going, is the weight..im pretty sure you're a lot lighter... so yeah. race and tell us how it goes! :] (so we know if we can pick on supras...) haha, jp

Well i put the intercooler and bov, and wastegast on and i am at about or a little over 300hp, I raced him and i won by at least a car maybe car and 3/4. My brothers t/a is slow, he does not know how to make it fast. He tried to tell me he ran 15 in 3/4 mile with a cold air intake and shift kit. I was like ya ok. So ya he does not talk crap any more, and about the supra, well it is gone. My friend wanted to drive it to see how fast it was and he came back to my house in a tow truck, car was toltoled. So all i have now is my t/a and my truck, i am looking in to buying this (forgive me) 95 eclispe, for just show no race.

Hey 97 Cav. Awhile back in the Pontiac forum (I think) you said you (I think it was you) beat Stangs all day. What the hell do you have to do to a Cav or car of that type to do that? And how much do you have to put into it to be that fast? I'm not doggin on ya, just askin the question.

You're in St. Louis right? I'm in Bloomington Il. How is Gateway? Never been there yet. They are supposed to open a 1/4 drag and 2-3mile roadcourse and a circle track all on the same land in Minonk Il. in 06 or 07. Finally, a track less than an hour away!

I sold the cav and got the supra, the cav was just a work car, i was talking about smoking stang in my t/a. I now have just my 99 silverado, and my 2000 ls1 t/a.
