Question 700r4 to olds 350 rocket

ive got a iroc with a 700r4 and my friend up in pa has a olds 350 rocket he will sell me the engine is in perfect condition, but im not completely sure if the bolt patterns will match up. can anyone help me befor i go all the way up there and maybe bring it down here for no reason. thanks alot

Not only will the 700R4 NOt bolt up to the Olds 350...the 350 won't fit in your IROC....There were basically 2 trans bolt patterns in the old days of GM...BPO (Buick, Pontiac & Olds) and Chevy. Now there is one bolt pattern Chevy (corporate). On to the engine. The Olds "rocket 350" is equalivant to a Chevy big block when it comes to external dimensions and the engine mounts are completely different. A BB will fitin a 3rd gen..with lots of work and careful parts selection.
