700r4 to olds 350 rocketdmw88irocz28 12-24-2005, 07:46 AM ive got a iroc with a 700r4 and my friend up in pa has a olds 350 rocket he will sell me the engine is in perfect condition, but im not completely sure if the bolt patterns will match up. can anyone help me befor i go all the way up there and maybe bring it down here for no reason. thanks alot Morley 12-24-2005, 11:42 PM Not only will the 700R4 NOt bolt up to the Olds 350...the 350 won't fit in your IROC....There were basically 2 trans bolt patterns in the old days of GM...BPO (Buick, Pontiac & Olds) and Chevy. Now there is one bolt pattern Chevy (corporate). On to the engine. The Olds "rocket 350" is equalivant to a Chevy big block when it comes to external dimensions and the engine mounts are completely different. A BB will fitin a 3rd gen..with lots of work and careful parts selection. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
