Installed Projectors on S14 Zenki.......Pics inside......

Well, after driving along for the past year and a half, I got sick of the stock OEM yellow headlights. So, over time, I researched my options. The best money saving way without doing an S14 Kouki or S15 swap, was to install a set of projectors.
So I purchased a set of Final Konnexion Clear Headlight lenses, a set of BMW X5 Euro-ECE Projectors, a set of BMW 745i ballasts/ignitors/bulbs, and a set of Mercedes E-Class projector shrouds/bezels.
Total time spent was around 20 hours. This included about 8 hours or so of trying to fit the projectors inside the headlamp. The S14 Zenkis are at a disadvantage with the shorter front to back headlights, which are non-projector friendly. The light output is absolutely amazing. EVERYTHING in front of the car is lit up, not just a hot-spot 15 feet in front of the car. The X5 ECE projectors give a GREAT cut-off, with a nice blue color. I will have a few night shots for you all at a later time. So far, this has been a GREAT mod and one that has been long over-due. So, without further wait, the pics.......

Meh... 5/10
Looks better than Faded Zenki but those huge ass projector bulb/housings look retarded. Plus that prolly cost rediculous amounts of money.

Thanks all for the compliments.
I am trying to do something with the corner lights actually. I am going to be making them amber lenses, not super clear that Final Konnexion offers. I think that those corner lenses make it look to "rice" if you know what I mean. The amber lenses make a GREAT contrast between the super white/blue projector and the clearness of the headlamp itself.
In my opinion, those are the better bezels/shrouds around the projector. It may look "a little bug-eyed" but they offer the best look. The others out there had wrong critical dimensions, both inside and outside diameter. Plus, these block almost all light that escapes from between the lense and the reflector of the projector, which totally eliminates glare for on-coming drivers. And finding another shroud/bezel that would fit in the 240sx headlight is a biatch. Many of them out there only have a 2.5" or 2.75" inner diameter, where-as these are 3" diameter lenses. So, yeah, I am gonna settle with these for a while.
Thanks again all. Keep them coming...... :smokin:

Points for ingenuity (however you spell that). I'd take those german glass headlights instead though.
Hey kicker, looking at you sig and your number of posts, you must almost be female by now huh? lol

The only problem with just installing the Final Konnexion lenses is that you loose ALL of your light output. On the zenki S14s and all S13s, the lense itself focuses the light on the road where it needs to go, also so that it doesn't blind on-coming drivers. When you put on the clear lenses only, you loose EVERY bit of that, and you actually loose a lot of your light that is focused on the road. And when you slap an aftermarket HID kit on that sucker, not only are you still at a loss with the unfocused light, you TOTALLY blind oncoming drivers. So to me, there is no point to just slapping on the lenses.
I have already purchased a set of Zenki headlight eye-brows, so that it slims down the headlight, making the projectors a little less noticeable. I think that when I do that, it will be more pleasing to the eye, instead of looking "bug-eyed" to all of you lol......

very well done. might take some getting used to but it looks good. what you could try doing is making a pattern on the interior of the lens with sand paper.. that would dull some of the light..
