Blinker 2001 venture

Last night when my running lights were on....and my trac system service light was on....I noticed that when I pressed the brakes my signals on the dash would illuminate and when I put on my blinker on and pressed my brakes that the signal would be very rapid. Help.

Have same prob w/my 97. The fix I continue to see is to replace the talilight assembly that is not working and the harness to it as well. See my posting from today and what the other car repair site told me for $15 before I came to this great site. I believe that I will be pulling each bulb in each taillight assembly, coating them with dielectric grease, reinserting them, then diconnecting the harness connector, cutting, stripping wires from harness, soldering them to corresponding pins at taillight assembly, shrinktubing all those, and gooping dielectric grease on that work and someone putting a plastic bag of it to protect it from the elements.
