I was on a two lane highway that junctions onto a bigger highway after a few miles. Anyway Im cruising and the right lane is blocked off by slow movers so I jump on the left and hike it up to 80mph. out of nowhere a black car pulls up behind me and starts to honk like telling me to move out of the way. It was a big ass 4 door saloon so I figured I drop a gear and shut him up but to my surprise the sucker stayed right on my ass honking. allright, this guy is starting to piss my off to I pull even harder trying to loose him and thats when I see its an Infinity, a big four door infinity. (later I found out it was a M35 but initially I thought it was a 4-door G35). I know I can run close to the tail of a 350Z on the highway after 95mph, I figure the G35 is bigger and heavier and probably an auto so I think I might just be able to loose him.
I shift back up to 5th, slow back down to 85 and switch over to the right lane. as he matches me on the left I can hear his motor blast into a roar (he floored it) and I drop gears and try to stop his advance. he pulled a bit, almost a full car but then it was like him and me where just tied to eachother still advancing but niether gaining on each other. I could feel the speed building up and the car starting to float side to side cause of the wind preasure. I just concentrated on looking forward and maintaining control, I hit redline in 4th (about 125 mph) then shifted, I could see out of the cornner of my eye he had dropped back behind my car, 135,136,138 and he was gone, about two cars back. he shut it down before me so I just let go of the gas, droped to like 130-125 lowered my windows to catch some drag and my ears poped, 110 100 90 then I started to apply the breaks slowly so not to burn them till I was finally back down at 75.

later he pulled up to a toll and took off before me, thats when I saw the M35 badge.

I used to have an SRT-4 and babied the hell out of it, this was back in 03 when they first came out. I got two races and then totalled it! I learned not to baby cars now I just run the hell out of them, enjoy every day like its my last. The motor on this one is strong as hell, the car is in excellent running condition, all my mods have been effective and since racing it what I love to do I do it as often as I can.....well that and sex, but racing is alot more time effective.

good kill. damn you sure like to go high up in a race. in nyc we don't have roads long enough to hit 138mph ( we can do it ) but in a non turbo car it would take alittle bit more road. but yeah definitly a interesting read. and yes i hate ass hole drivers.

that sucks that you guys in NYC don't get anygood long roads...There is so many in Suburban PA, I've maxed my black Mustang liek 5 mins from my house at over 140, need to run the red GT after Winter

you know what else sucks in nyc? cops, we get pulled over for exhuast tickets, window tints, you name it. our roads suck from all the craters, and its too short and narrow for really good top end racing.

however i still wouldn't live anywhere else. i love this place.

Yeah the roads around here dont offer much space but there are a few choice highways long and paved well enough to do that, It still scary as heck but once youve done it one time on a particullar strip you get a bit brave to do it again. Ive spent alot on proper tires, suspension, and most importantly, brakes. I dont suggest those speeds unless the car is in excellent shape.

yeah i go to NY all the time... the cops are asses and i know that just visiting. my family live near owego NY if u know where that is. Youd think that for how high the taxes are that theyd have decent roads, ohios taxes arent nearly as high but we have great roads.

haha the reason why the roads suck here is becasue its too much of a hassle to close down one lane to repave the road esp how bad rush hour traffic is here. after they finish one lane, they gotta fix the remaining lane and the freshly paves lane ended up gettin trashed when they just finished repaving the 2nd lane.

right now we have a nyc transit strike. we have no subways and buses, to give you an idea how bad nyc traffic is it took me 1 and a half hour to drive a 5 mile route. and the bridges and tunnels were backed up for aleast 90 minutes.

haha yeah if i had a bike it would be great. i feel bad for the people living in south brooklyn like by coney island or something that has to walk 10 miles to get to the brooklyn bridge, then walk anoter 2 miles across then walk a few more miles uptown to get to work. people are walkin from 5 am and gettin to work at 11 am.
