The check ENGINE /TEMP LIGHT will not go out on my 84 deville.

I disconnect the battery and wait a couple days, and the light comes back on. The key is not in the ignition.

A while back I had to disconnect the warning buzzers. They would go anytime the key was in the ignition.

I get a phantom brake light every once in a while.

Had the timing gear replaced (had worn to nothing) about 500 miles ago.
Just before that I had to have a new ignition cyl put in just before that.
