replacing 2003 sunfire backup lamps

2 backup lights are gone at "same time" (I guess it was at same time...). Can anybody please tell me how to replace the bulbs? Some people said it might be the switch problem. If so, is there any chance to DIY? Appreciate your help...

p.s., forgot to mention that the fuses are good...

Atlantic Man,
I have a similar problem on my 2002. My bulbs are good. I tested them. I think that it is the switch but I can't locate it. My Sunfire is a stick shift. Any help locating it would be appreciated.

Until then, I guess that I have to either drive only in the daylight or only forward!

My backup lights are out also. fuse and lamps are good. No voltage to the lamps when in reverse. Stick shift also. There is a backup light switch, it's usually on the shift linkage on the transmission? I haven't been able to find it yet! I'll look again this weekend. Anybody fixed this themselves?
