1999 SHO no heatpistolpete1068 12-15-2005, 09:13 PM Even though it is Arizona I sometimes have to use the heater on the car (don't laugh). Last week went to use it and I heard a thumpiing noise when I tuned it on. I could stop the noise by hitting the EATC off button, which I did. This lasted about 2 or 3 cycles of on/off then no more noise. No heat since. Any suggestions? Pistolpete1068 I found the problem, 'A/C Electronic blend door actuator failure'. I ran the diagnostic routine on the EATC (car on, push FLOOR and OFF simultaneously, hit AUTO within 2 seconds). The test takes about 30 seconds and flashes the DT codes in the display window. The DTC came back 024 & 025 which indicated the A/C BLEND DOOR ACTUAOR FAILURE. That accounted for the thumping noise. The noise indicates that the actuator motor sounds as if it is working, but the blend door does not respond. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the problem? Is there any way to get to the blend door actuator without tearing down the dash? nyc tech 12-15-2005, 10:09 PM check your coolant level and make sure thermostat is working properly. 99 Neon R/T 12-16-2005, 12:05 AM Are you getting any air flow?If not then you may have lost your blower motor. But that is just a guess vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
