1. No. They did make a single overhead cam 427, though. I think it came out in 1964 or 65 and the dual-quad version made 657hp. It was not a factory-installed option, however. You had to buy it as a crate engine. I dont know if any were dealer-installed in new cars.
2. I dont know. Ford's pushrod 427 came out in I think 1963.
