Turbo size?

Hi i was wondring if a t3/t4oe 50 trim .63 a/r with a stage three turbine would fit under the hood of say a 97 rs impreza? the reason i ask is because i have a turbo kit that i built for my 3g eclipse and i no longer plan on putting it in. so iam selling it to my friend who has a 97 impreza rs. I looked under the hood and it didnt seem like there was much room under there. its an auto by the way

thanks

Re: Turbo size?

If it's the 1997 base model, it's a 1.8 L.

The RS only became available in 1998 and has a ej25 engine.

As for fitting the turbo, one will fit, you just have to know what you're looking at to know where it would fit in the engine bay. Even if your friend has the 2.2 L model, it wouldn't be worth the effort of placing a turbo on it.

Re: Turbo size?

Then it would be worth putting a turbo on provided he's not going to overboost the engine's capacity to handle a turbo.

Re: Turbo size?

I don't recall off hand, it's been discussed before though so a forum search should bring it up.
