03 Taurus seat belt replacement

Can someone tell what kind of job - replacing the seat belt is. I have the air bag light on and was told that it is the seat belt sensor. Also, will disconnecting the battery lock up Taurus radio's. thanks

It would help if you would specify what year and what seat belt you want to replace, they are numerous. As far as I know the factory Taurus radios are not coded to lock up when disconnected.
