Cooling fan won't shutdown

I just replaced the thermostat in my 1991 Taurus 3.0 V6. When I started the engine the cooling fan started running and wouldn't quit. I installed a new thermo switch and the fan continues to run. When I disconnect the plug from the thermo switch the fan continues to run. What else should I be looking for That I need to replace?

Thanks
Shayne
