2003 Expeditionbruexx 12-10-2005, 07:25 PM My 2003 Expedition has a lot of road noise, wind noise+ a whistling air noise at 60kmph's.It has been back to the dealer several times, under warranty, they've changed weather stripping+ say they have done everything possible to cure the problem,to no avail.Has anyone else experienced these problems with their vehicle + what if anything has been done about it?There is also a quiet whine in the drive train, which they tell me is inherit in all Expeditions,as well as F-150's?? truckie36 12-15-2005, 12:23 AM I purchased my 04 Expedition in September. During the test drive I noticed a drive train whine around 42mph. It was more noticeable under light acceleration. I bought it anyways because it still had bumper to bumper coverage. On their first attempt at repair, they thought it was the torque converter. That didn’t fix it, but now I have a new torque converter. The problem ended up being the ring and pinion gears in the rear end. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
