Maybe those prices for the modification to make it legal is only good when you buy the car through them or something. Even if you can get the skyline here for 40-80k, that's still a lot more money than a lot of people have to spend on a car. medici78 06-26-2002, 05:58 PM I talked to the folks at Motorex. They do private imports. If you look on their site, they even say it. The only problem is that you have to pay bond fees, duties, customs broker fees, and of course, shipping. Depending on the year of your car it will run between US$3000-5000 in addition to the "conversion" fees. From my understanding, it is totally feasible to get an R34 for much, much less than they charge. ArtemisEntreriR34 07-03-2002, 06:47 PM At what site(s) can you go to, to find out how much those custom broker fees and the others cost? Gonthrax 07-09-2002, 12:12 PM Call customs. I'm sure they could tell you right away. striker79 11-13-2002, 06:20 AM the hardest part is getting it into the country all you really have to do is show up at the docks and fill out the proper paper work(hs somthing i forget)tell them it's not for street use park it and convert it your self it's only a couple of sensors. SkylineUSA 11-13-2002, 08:41 AM If it was only that easy.:) emnm 11-25-2002, 04:59 AM Last ting i heard was that ... it was illegal to do the conversion of the sensors and all ... on your own ... ??? I heard that they want you to go to a certified location for that type of stuff ... ??? If it was as e-z as you say ... then i found me a Metalic Silver R33 for around 12,000 US$ ... ? I can only DREAM ... !!! Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
