Smile 2000 SOHC Neon

Hello everyone.

I am new to this forum and could use some help. My wifes 2000 Neon SOHC is due for a timing belt. I believe in preventative maintanence since I am a mechanic by trade. (Class 8 trucks) Could someone give me the procedure for changing the timing belt? I changed the oil today and can see that it is pretty tight up at the front of the engine. Do I pull the right front tire and inner plastic cover? Any info will help. Thanks

Joe

The neons have a 100,000 mile timing belt. Has she hit that mark already? If so you will want to do the tensioner and water pump at the same time. I know there is a website that has the 2000 FSM in a PDF form. I will see if I can find it for you.

*edit* Found a how-to for ya...
