C12 and C12Shermunn123 08-03-2001, 05:20 PM hey adam, what's the difference between these??? does the C12S have a stiffer suspension or something like that? Adam 08-04-2001, 02:41 PM More of the 'something like that.' This is explained on my site. Differences between Zonda Versions: There are two versions of the Pagani Zonda available: the C12 and the C12 S. The C12's engine has 394 bhp and 420 ft-lb. of torque, while the C12 S has an AMG tuned 550 bhp engine with 553.2 ft-lb. of torque. The C12 S also differs from the C12 in that this version is 50 mm longer, has an elongated "nose," has a split rear spoiler, and also has different rear light clusters. If you are trying to tell the two apart, the C12 S' longer 'nose' looks like it has a crease in it (which makes me like the C12 better). The rear has, of course, the split rear spoiler, as well as the different rear light clusters. For beauty, I'd take the C12. For power and speed, the C12 S. But if I had to choose one, I think I'd take the C12 just because when numbers get that high (and low), you don't really notice. A brochure from Pagani that I received said that the Zonda C12 has 450 bhp, which I hope to look further into. Adam Lamborghini 09-16-2001, 05:13 AM Pagani have any other models besides the C12? Adam 09-20-2001, 12:21 AM No. Just C12 and C12 S. probably (and I say this w/out knowledge, pure guessing) gonna be the only one. I think it's kinda like Lamborghini in that there is only one model. Chris 09-20-2001, 03:16 PM If they say it has 450hp, then they must do some mods, like a cam, bump in compression, better exhaust, something like that. Also, how did you get the brochure?? Adam 09-22-2001, 02:02 PM you ask the guys at modena-design.it for one Chris 09-23-2001, 10:49 AM Are they free??? From Ferrari, they are about 10 bucks!!!! What are they like??? If they are good, I might buy one (if they do cost money) Adam 09-24-2001, 08:20 PM they're very thin, very floppy, and very much free. There are supposed to be some sorta "press releases" but I never got one........... nsx1164 11-30-2001, 04:25 PM I am also a fan of this little-known marque, and agree that the C12/C12S represent truly EXOTIC cars. Thanks for preparing a great site on this The more pronounced nose on the C12S is more F1 like IMO. Am a little surprised they did not incorporate an F1 transmission (ala Ferrari 360) into the car. Even the Euro-version M3 has this. MC www.geocities.com/mcantoria/mc-toys.html Adam 12-01-2001, 04:28 PM I agree, that would be cool. Do you really own a 360 Spider? nsx1164 12-06-2001, 01:34 PM I have a deposit on one. FWIW, I like the F1-esque looks of the C12S better. MC Chris 12-07-2001, 02:22 PM When Adam reads this, hes going to go nuts! Thats going to be the most exotic car in Detroit, certainly the most unique. I envy you nsx1164 12-07-2001, 07:48 PM Originally posted by nsx1164 I have a deposit on one. FYI, the deposit is on a Ferrari 360 Spider, not a Pagani Zonda C12S... although the latter is definitely still on the wish-list Adam 12-07-2001, 08:30 PM I am in love w/ the spider to, just not near as much as the Zonda! cars_rule 12-08-2001, 04:25 PM Originally posted by Adam I am in love w/ the spider to, just not near as much as the Zonda! hey adam its cars rule from sc.net. Adam 12-11-2001, 06:57 PM hey cars_rule! Morpheus XIII 03-07-2002, 06:51 AM Boy this forum is dead. Adam 03-07-2002, 09:22 PM that sure is a relevant post there.... but of course, not many people have heard of or even care for this car... Chris 03-08-2002, 12:16 PM I care:) That counts for something, right. Right? Morpheus XIII 03-09-2002, 05:01 AM Just a comment: GT3 is great. But I don't think it would have been the same without the Pagani. There are no Ferraris and no Lamborghinis in the game (well, here in the U.S.). Italy is known for churning out some of the sweetest road going machines of all time, and to not include any genuine Italian exotics would be a sin. Nicely rounds out the game. a007apl 03-13-2002, 06:46 AM Chris 03-15-2002, 11:48 AM Originally posted by Morpheus XIII Just a comment: GT3 is great. I agree, I was pissed when I couldn't get any italian exotics other than the Pagani. My theory as to why: The big-shots at Ferrari and Lamborghini didn't want to be in a game where they wouldn't be some of the top cars on the game. There are tons of racecars that could kill them in the game, and they wanted to be the aspirational cars. Morpheus XIII 03-16-2002, 03:22 AM Good logic. What they don't know is that the people who actually BUY anything from the Gran Turismo line usually know a thing or two about cars. It's pretty well known that Italian exotics aren't the fastest cars in the world (hell, they are designed to be forgiving street cars), but speed isn't the only reason why people buy them. It's about a feeling of prestige of owning the streets with something excitingly unusual. Polyphony could have easily stuck in an "Exotic Car Championship" limited only to these vehicles. Wouldn't that be a nice sight--a replay with six of Italy's finest. Ferrari could even have allowed their race-proven, world dominating, Schumacher Formula 1..er "Formula GT" racer. Well I'm glad at least someone was willing to permit their cars. Thank you Pagani. Adam 03-16-2002, 03:39 PM it was great of Pagani. my site stats really shot up since GT3 came out, simply because now people actually have heard of it! I think it's kinda like Lamborghini in that there is only one model. there is now the newer version of the S, it's the 7.3, the engine is now 7.3 l, the hp is 555, and that's all that changes, I think. the extiror is just the same.... O and what you said, Adam, about the C12 being more beautiful, I disagree, i think that C12 S is the prettier car....anyways it's my opinion.. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
