8 valve to a 16 valve

i have a 8 valve 2.0 and i was wondering if any one has taken the head of a 16 valve and put it on a 8 valve.

Im not 100% sure about it, but I heard that it is possible, and isnt as awkward as it seems.
But good luck anyway, and Im sure there is more info on the net about how to do it etc...

Yes, it will work. Both the 16v-head from the 1.8L PL engine and the 16v-head from the 2.0L 9A engine will fit your block [Assuming you have the old ABA block, and not the newer AEG].
You would also need either new pistons, or modify the existing once. ABF-pistons will give you 11:1 or so c/r, but then I don’t see the point of doing this swap. Low-Compression ABA-pistons would give you c/r around 9:1, throw in an extra head gasket and you are ready for a turbo.

Hmm... that shouldnt be a problem... a head has little to do with the valves... or valve amount anyway...
