timing belt tensioner bearing and Idler replacement

Hi, i am wondering when do you guys replace those two items? I have a 1995.5 v6 with 90k on it, going to change the timing belt, tensioner push rod assembly and water pump, so i am wondering if i should replace those two items as well. Those two items look like it has seal bearing on it, can i just replace the bearing and save some money?

I have one question about the water pump. Do you guys always use OEM water pump, or can i just go with cheaper water pump found at Kragen such as Beck/Arnley Water Pump? Thnaks you

I've not heard any bad things about aftermarket 3.2/3.5 timing gear and waterpumps, but we know for sure OEM lasts a long time and it's all a PITA to replace. I've never heard of a 3.2/3.5 waterpump failure. Only belt failures are the super common weak tensioner pusher.

G/luck

So then i should not even change any of those yet right? I should just wait till i hit 100K+ then worry about it? But then agian, it has been 10 years since those parts been in there.

I have a 97 rodeo with 125K on it and the original water pump just started to leak this weekend. I had the timing belt, tensioner, water pump, thermostat and all new belts and hoses put on. The bill stung but I think the motor is all set for another 100K.

10-11yrs is a long time on a belt, but the first thing to give out is usually the timing belt tensioner pusher. You get a knock at idle when that happens from the belt slapping the cover (excess slack). I'd wait until the pusher gives out.
