Rear Winshield Wiper

Is there a separate reservoir for the rear winshield wiper squirter on a 2000 v6 rodeo? I know there is a separate button on the dash to engage the rear squirter as opposed to the front so I suppose there is a separate tank. Where would I find it so I can fill it?

I'm pretty sure it pulls it from the front (it does on my hard top Amigo).

Re: Rear Winshield Wiper

The rear sprayer on my '99 has never worked since I've had it (2 years now). Where would you look for the reason why not?

Thanks!

Start with checking the switch and the pump. You can get to the pump by removing the plastic inner fender cover on the passenger side. If you have power going to the pump when the switch is pressed then I would say the pump is bad.

If you have power going through the switch but not getting to the pump then the relay may be bad. It is on the same board as the wiper relays. Check HERE for more info on that.

I would think it would be a fuse, switch, or pump. In that order.

It could also be that the pump is working but the tube might be clogged or pinched somewhere.

Re: Rear Winshield Wiper

So there are two pumps but only one reservoir? One pump is for the front and the other for the rear?

Exactly. Once you pull the plastic from the wheelwell you will see both pumps next to each other on the reservoir and the hose going to the back.

I think both pumps are the same so you might be able to just switch connectors to test, if there is enough wire.
