brakes vibrates when applies before and afterflexspd 12-04-2005, 08:17 PM hi.. i own a 1996 buick regal and recently just replaced rotors and pads. reason why i did it was that the car vibrates when brakes is apply so i look at it and seems as teh rotors are warp....so i replaced the parts... after replaced, i test drove teh car and at first it seems fine then suddenly about 60 mph when i apply brakes... it vibrates....at low speed... its seem ok..... i took it off and look at it and rotors turn slightly bluish color... i was told tat teh caliper might be stucj cause to over heat teh rotors to warp.... so i took it back and got replacement rotors and pad and also new calipers.... after replaced and took a test drive.. it did the same thing. Three years ago.... completet brake system were replaced , front and rear.... i was thinking about resurface the rear rotors and replace the pad , but i dont wanna spend teh money and endedd up nutin.... please help me and i really thank you for your time........ 91RegalOwner 12-05-2005, 09:49 AM hi.. i own a 1996 buick regal and recently just replaced rotors and pads. reason why i did it was that the car vibrates when brakes is apply so i look at it and seems as teh rotors are warp....so i replaced the parts... after replaced, i test drove teh car and at first it seems fine then suddenly about 60 mph when i apply brakes... it vibrates....at low speed... its seem ok..... i took it off and look at it and rotors turn slightly bluish color... i was told tat teh caliper might be stucj cause to over heat teh rotors to warp.... so i took it back and got replacement rotors and pad and also new calipers.... after replaced and took a test drive.. it did the same thing. The problem may not be your brakes but a bad tire/rim. Try rotating the back tire to the front and see if you still get the same problem. I had the same problem with my sunfire - replaced a blow out with a used tire, but the tire the mechanic sold me was bad. so whenever i was braking the brakes pulsated. Put a new tire on and presto... problem disappeared... Let me know if that helps. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
