Air on continuously

Hey,
I have a 2001 Chevy impala and today I started it (VERY COLD DAY) and turned on the air to full #5 and then turned it down and it was working fine... Then I turned it to full and again leaving the car running, and ran inside to get something, i came back out and started going then when i turned the air to off it kept blasting at 5! i pulled over and turned the car COMPLETELY off and it STILL kept going, I went home, checked the fuse for "HVAC BLO" it was fine, i took it out and it stopped the number 5 and it still allows 1,2,3,and 4 to work, so i have the fuse out, sorry for the long post but doesn anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Air on continuously

I know someone else knows some more info about his and how it exactly works, I forgot. but the 5th setting is thru different wiring gets it power directly from the batter trhu a bypass, so it proabably has something to do with that. ill try to find the last post where I read that.

EDIT: here is the link it doesnt reallt tell you how to fix it, but it tells you wht the problem is, yours is just the opposite.

Ok, I figured your next question would be how to replace the resistor, so I got the instructions for you.
