Trailer Package for 03 Silverado

I just bought a trailer and nobody can seem to steer me in the right direction to install the electric brake controller. I have the hitch, tow/haul lever, and the 6 prong wiring harness, so should there be something under the dash to plug my controller into????? or do I have to have this professionaly installed with new wires run to batt., hitch, etc.. Please Help!

Did you get it in yet?
I have an 03 2500 in which I installed a brake myself. Did you get the pigtail with your truck? If so the pigtail wires to the brake controler per instruction on the controler and the other end plugs into the panel under the dash right next to the brake pedal. Once you pull off the cover there will be a diagram that shows where to plug it. If you look under the steering wheel there may already be 2 holes there to mount the controler to, there was in mine. You also need to add the trailer fuse under the hood if you only have 1 battery. Again when you open the under hood panel it will be labled something like trailer B+. I think it's a 40 amp fuse.

If you need anymore help of have any questions email me at mdwelding@sbcglobal.net. I may be able to help. I don't read these too much.
