2001 Jimmy stalls in rain

10 months ago I purchased my 2001 Jimmy, has run great until a few weeks back. It sits in the driveway on a slight angle (front end up) and after having heavy rain and wind, blowing toward the passenger side, it fires right up but stalls after driving 20 to 30 ft. This has happened twice, the rain and the stalls. Has been towed to the dealer both times and of course starts right up when they have it and seemed fine until it rained the second time. Could the rain get blown up into the engine compartment or trip down in because of the angle? It is at the dealer now so I haven't tried backing up the driveway yet.....FYI....it has 80K on it......any ideas? Thanks

The problem is most likely caused by your computer becoming damp due to the rain. If the wind is always blowing the rain the same direction each time it rains then try to back your vehicle into the driveway. Another suggestion would be to park your vehicle in the garage if you have one. Hope that helps you.

Thanks Guyver, although the mechanic refused to consider the rain as a factor he replaced and reprogrammed the PCM. (the computer I was told) Everything has been fine sice......and....surprise, suprise.....it was covered under warranty.......so I would say you are right......thanks again. Dave
