My fluid level is fine but it won't go into 4 high... What can I do? the87hyper 11-30-2005, 07:35 PM I know you've answered this question many times for the newer blazers but mine is a 1990 and doesn't have the electrical buttons to shift to 4x4. My fluid level is fine but it won't go into 4 high... What can I do? Will it go into 4L and or 4H when in neutral? JRed78 12-07-2005, 01:38 AM It doesn't go into 4L or 4H at any time. Not in nuetral either. mrfirebird 12-10-2005, 10:32 PM It doesn't go into 4L or 4H at any time. Not in nuetral either. i'd start by checking the vacume actuator under the battery, i just replaced mine today, the transfer case shifted ,but the front wheels didn't enguage. also take a look at the vacume lines going from the servo to the transmission then the switch then the encoder motor.good luck my bet is on the actuator, make sure it holds a vacume. Rmbodie 12-12-2005, 06:47 AM I have an 89 , so I know what you are talking about . Can you move the shifter rod , but the light does not glow ? My bulb was blown . My vacuum line was cracked. My actuater was loose under the battery . My switch was wrong on the transfer case . Many things could be off . give me more info please . Rob vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
