oil light coming on erratically

I have a 97 Cav base model. The oil light was coming on occasionally so I had Pep Boys take a look at it. They said the oil switch (which I think is the same as the sensor) was bad. I thought the problem was solved but 24 hours later the light started coming on again. It started right after I got off the highway, which I was on for about 45 minutes. I'm wondering if it's really an ECU problem. Anyone else experience this or have any advice? Thanks!

if is an ecu problem the light would come on
and u would be able to get codes with a scanner
the check engine light come on?

in the other car i had the oil light was also coming on everytime i slowed down

i changed the oil filter, that damn thing was defective and was clogged

it happens

lets start for checking that

other reason that can do that could be oil pump loosing pressure

or some sludge stuck in the pump

check ur oil maybe is too burned out and needs to be changed

start for doing oil change and filter then if not check the pump

also recheck the sensor connections to make sure the mechanics did a good job

because u never know

the oil and filter was changed 1000 miles ago

not sure where the sensor connections are, or the pump

should I get a service manual?
