warranty questionsrt4hottie 11-28-2005, 01:37 PM Okay, I have a 2004 SRT4 with about 29,500 miles on it. My fan belt is squeaking...is that covered under warranty? I need to be careful when I take my car up to the dealership because my warranty is almost null as it is, so if the belt IS covered under warranty, i'll take it to the dealership when the warranty-man isn't working...anyone know??? Hollowcreek 11-28-2005, 03:56 PM Belts and hoses are typically regarded as 'wear items' and are not covered. Your warranty booklet should say for sure. srt4hottie 11-28-2005, 04:12 PM Okay, Well Then Why With Nearly 30,000 Miles Would I Need To Replace A Belt? Kinda Soon To Do So Dont You Think?? sheetmagnet 11-30-2005, 02:36 AM Okay, Well Then Why With Nearly 30,000 Miles Would I Need To Replace A Belt? Kinda Soon To Do So Dont You Think?? Maybe a bit soon, but if you like to accellerate/decellerate a lot, the belt can wear much quicker. But, don't fear, you can do it yourself for $25. That's $20 for the belt, and $5 for the six-pack of Budweiser that you can throw at a drunk friend who will be willing to change it out for a hometown-SRT4-hottie lol :-) And the drunker he gets, ya can laugh at him when he sweats for 4 hours to do it lol he he.
