low coolant indicatoraugustkight 11-28-2005, 09:50 AM I have a 2001 Grand Prix SE. The 'low coolant' indicator remains on for about 5 or so minutes after I start the car. I have checked the coolant and it seems to be OK. The temperture is reading well within safe range. Is this just a glitch or does it indicate a bigger problem? Thanks in advance. richtazz 11-28-2005, 09:58 AM The coolant level sensor may have some sludge on it, causing it to give an erroneous low coolant signal. gtp'n 11-28-2005, 10:30 AM I have a 2001 Grand Prix SE. I took mine to the dealer since the car was still under warrenty. O had them deal with it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
