I've got a 97 gtp. the lright front caliper is locking up real bad. so i'm gonna get a new caliper and pads and rotors. My friend told me that you have to do something different when bleeding the brakes because the car has ABS. I've just bled brakes on car without ABS before. Do i need to do some thing different, if so what do i do? thanks

I have a 97 GTP and replaced both rear calipers due to sticking. I bled the brakes like the non-abs variety and had absolutely no issues. Brakes work fine. So bleed the brakes like you are used to doing and you should be ok.

I agree with GTPDad about bleeding the brakes. The only thing I do differently on ABS cars is when I retract the caliper pistons, I open the bleeder to keep the dirty fluid from backing up into the ABS assembly, then refill the master cylinder with fresh fluid to replace what escapes.

Thanks, so i guess theres nothing you have to do with "opening the abs selinoids"?

unless you changed the master cylinder, or had a problem that got air in the system upstream of the ABS motor, you shouldn't have to mess with any of that stuff. You're just replacing fluid and removing air downstream while replacing calipers.
