are you talking about true dual or cat back? i have a custom made cat back dual exhaust with tips on opposite ends and i find it to perform better than stock.

myself was thinking just catback duals... is there any sink in your mpg? how much did your custom setup cost you?

I get between 19 and 22 mpg on hwy and it cost me $400.00 built, installed and with 2 stainless steel tips. you can see it on jeepsunlimited.com in the zj forum under the topic "2 oil caps?" and i think under the topic "dual exhaust".

I didn't install dual, but 3" pipe and Magna Flow muffler behind the Cat and the Jeep's response change is huge, that and some other mods and I've gotten up to about 285 HP and 390 lbs torque with 0-60 mph down to 6.7 sec from the stock 8.2 sec. Driving the speed limit I have gained about 1 mpg, combined city (1/4 of my time) and highway (3/4) of my time gives me 16.4 mpg average.

your mpg is goig to go down because you are going to like the sound of your gc after you put on an exhaust and wont be able to go easy on the gas lol. thats what my problem is. but if you baby it you will see an increase in mpg. i had the heavy foot for the first few months then i calmed down alot. it still sounds awesome even when babying it..

Yes,that's true, I haven't always babied mine because it sounds so sweet and passing sports cars is so much fun, burning them at a stop light run to the next really makes their eyes open up and they're ready for the next stop light run, they never win in the rain and manually shifting the automatic always wins, like the time I burned a Benz Kompressor, he got really mad, probably because he was beat by a Jeep!
