I want to know if I can disect the fuel pump assembly on a later GM (99- 5.3) truck and use a mid 90s fuel pump motor? I am trying to avoid paying almost $400 for one of these new pump assemblies. Help is greatly apprecdiated.

Give the a call or email them. They can probably give you an answer and sell you a pump.

I wanted to avoid paying a lot of money too so I plan to use my current fuel pump assembly with the new pump. The pump cost me about $60 including shipping.
