installing lug nuts

Hi, which way do I install the washers for the lug nuts on my 97 Rodeo? There is a thin, curved springy washer and a larger flat one but I'm not sure how it goes on and in which order. The wrong ones were on it when I bought it and the center pieces were damaged. Now I got new (used) ones ready to go with all new lugs and washers.
Thanks.

Put the flat washer on the nut first, then the wavy washer.

Thank you Cat Fuzz! Does it matter which way the wavy washer is facing?

I'm not sure but I do put mine on a certain way. Now that I'm thinking about, I can't see a reason why it would matter. All they do is keep the center cap from flopping around and making noise.
